On Friday, February 10 our GNG Indoor track team competed in the Western Maine Conference Championships. Our athletes have been preparing all season for this meet as for most, with the exception of those going to states, it is the last time to compete.

There were several new personal records even due to the cancellation of many practices because of weather. Some of the top performances included, Madison Post coming in 2nd in the 200m and the 55m dash, Jaley Martin placing 4th in the 55m dash, Erica Schlichting placing 5th in the 800m, Emma Maccallum winning the shot put, Emily Brewer placing 6th in the shot put, Sam Aube placing 7th in the 400m dash, Jaykob Sanborn placing 3rd in the high jump, Trent Dexter placing 7th in the pole vault, the girls 4×200 came in and the 5th boys 4×200 came in 7th. Overall, the girls team placed 5th and the boys placed 10th showing the wonderful performance done by all GNG participants. A final congratulations to all the track athletes as it was a great season and good luck to those competing at states!
